It all started when my friend recommended your book ‘Stoic path to wealth’ last year and I have loved and appreciated your work ever since. I joined your list and stuck for good reasons. I’m happy to listen to you any day because you understand the my pain points and you lived it. I can see all of that sprinkled on all your work. Congratulations on your new beginning.
I've enjoyed your writing for years and have many of your books. I have not written very much in
my life but when I did I LOVED the way the thoughts just flowed out of something inside. Like what I wrote was already in existence and I just wrote what came out. Friends have told me I should write, but I have no idea what to write or for whom or why. So I haven't written in a while.
I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions you may have. What you write fills a void, so keep at it. Mike P.
Thanks, Mike. That's really the best feedback. I think a lot of people can relate to what you said about writing. It's hard to figure out who you want to write for and why. If I look back on what got me started, I wrote for the ones who are currently going through the things I just went through. So for example, I dealt with a lot of fear early in my career. So I wrote about how I got over that. And I wrote for my past self. There's more I can share on this. Maybe I'll turn it into an article!
Substack is the place to be! I can't remember when I starting getting your emails, or how I first subscribed - it's been many years. I enjoyed your post today and am really glad to see you doing so well. Especially liked the part where you detailed your plan to be a writer. I'm a recent retiree and have been slowly letting this stage of my life unfold, so the prompt to "have a plan" is definitely resonating with me. Anyway, just wanted to say Congrats on the move!

Full disclosure: I took on the persona of my beloved fur child Sammi Honeyfoot (who passed last summer and whom I still miss dearly). Yes, I agree with your sentiment, we should definitely support each other as we cross paths in our life journeys. Goodness knows life is and can be difficult enough.
