How to Use Writing to Think More Clearly
A practical guide to training your mind on paper.
One of the things I’ve noticed in my life is this:
If I journal daily, I’m productive, focused, and energetic.
If I don’t journal, I’m not.
I can think of many logical reasons why writing improves your life. But you’ve heard all of that stuff before.
You know, there’s something spiritual about writing that every person who has written daily has experienced.
I don’t know exactly what it is. But it’s this kind of invisible energy force that you generate as soon as you start writing.
Writing puts you in a different state of mind that you can’t get with anything else in life.
I love meditation, going on long walks, traveling, exercising, and all the other beautiful things in life. But nothing compares to writing.
If you’re not writing daily, you’re missing out.
Writing = clarity.
And clarity is something we all need more of today.
And this matters now more than ever.
AI can write your emails, summarize notes, and turn a voice recording into a clean document. I use those tools too. But if you outsource every first draft and difficult thought, you also outsource the process that keeps your mind sharp.
In the rest of this guide, you’ll learn what to write about, how to practice, and how to use AI without giving up the mental benefits of writing.
