This is a missing conversation in finance. The focus tends to be ‘accumulation’ and we postpone the feeling of ‘enough’ until someday in the future. We have to realize that ‘enough’ is available now.
Great material, as always, Darius. I can totally relate to the idea of finding significance and purpose in everyday life. When you can do something good, it makes you feel good. And having spontaneous moments makes life more interesting.
I started with a similar goal 5 years ago and although I have continued to build my wealth in a lot of ways over the last 5 years, I have also stopped delaying my joy. I try to spend on experiences which allow me to grow. make me feel like a beginner because it’s important know that there’s so much we’re still yet to know. I think we’re paying a huge price by not living an intentional life. I hope people realise that soon.
I have always loved your work. So needed to hear this today. The struggle is real and I was starting to wonder why bother anymore. You said it well. Thank you for your wise words.
I'm always pleasantly surprised at how relevant, insightful, and foundational your writing is Darius. Thanks for challenging yourself to write this after mowing the lawn. :)
From the title I judged and thought: why is Darius writing again about money and investing? I am now embarrassed to say it but that's the thought that popped in my head.
I couldn't have been more wrong about the theme. It's exactly what I needed to hear. It goes straight to a journey I'm on right now. And it resonates deeply.
Thanks again Darius. I don't comment enough but I am deeply grateful for your writing.
Thank you for such a good explanation and also a reminder to stay active in our lives. Engage in things that make us feel alive. Even if it is gardening, cooking a great meal, reading a book or staying in touch with social networks.
Damn. Really explains anxiety in a way people don't really look at. Very well written.
Thanks for reading, Ayush.
RIght on target!

Glad it’s useful, Graciela. Good examples of small things that we should keep pursuing.
💯 relevant , growing and learning should be a never ending process of life! Having said that only when you have the resources to do so!
That’s it!
